Teens & Young Adults

Our Peer & Family Model provides an innovative approach to online education for families and school programs. This dynamic group format offers the best of both worlds, wherein teens and/or young adults meet once per month with their peers and an assigned GoLife facilitator and once per month as a family or school group under the lead of parents or sponsoring adults. A great option for homeschool families, our online courses may be integrated into the student’s school curriculum with credits applied toward a variety of subjects. It also serves as an excellent supplement to education and spiritual transformation for those in traditional high school, college, and work-life settings. These multi-generational groups aid parents and mentors in sharing an inheritance of the heart with the next generation of young people discovering their personal and corporate destinies in Christ.

About the School

The School of Strategic Living is designed to train train believers in every stage of life to think biblically, live strategically, and lead effectively. The GoLife curriculum delves into themes such as biblical worldview, inheriting God’s heart, presuppositional thinking, becoming a prophetic voice, Kingdom foundations, embracing community, strategic lifestyle, problems as opportunities, and engaging the culture. Students will be equipped for a life-long trajectory of growth, discipleship, critical thinking, and problem solving that will bring ongoing fruit to you and to all whom God has called you.

The GoLife100 and GoLife200 curricula are offered as separate 12-month courses or as a combined, accelerated 18-month course. Our comprehensive program features real-time group interaction and dedicated support from trained facilitators. Registration is open year-round with new groups forming semi-annually. Our online format offers the convenience of enrollment from any location and is tailored to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.

Structure

When students enroll, they are assigned to a curated group based on factors such as time zone and demographics. These small group cohorts convene every other week via video conferencing such as Zoom (or in person when feasible) to discuss, process, and apply the lessons under the guidance of a vetted and trained facilitator. Meeting schedules are either set in advance or determined by the facilitator at course onset with consideration to participants’ schedules and availability. Students complete the course work online, with a two-week timeframe allotted for each lesson. The estimated time commitment of study per lesson is approximately 2-3 hours, which typically encompasses listening to the teaching, completing a reading assignment, and submitting homework.

Relational Grounding

We are committed to fostering community under the firm believe that God builds relationally by joining together the hearts of individuals. Our mentor-based model is critical to the success of the course. Our desire to see students work with a facilitator in the context of a group is based in our conviction that genuine transformation in a person’s life takes place in the context of spiritual relationships with others. The role of the facilitator is to encourage and challenge their students as they work through the materials. Facilitators are graduates of the school, have completed additional facilitator training, and remain under the oversight of our Directors of Facilitation.
